2 years (from 5 June 2010)

• Regional geological and geophysical investigations in collaboration with the relevant authorities.
• These investigations will be carried out as "desk research", meaning no sort of drilling or other physical tasks will be performed in this phase. 
• Preliminary environmental investigations carried out by expert outside consultants.
• Factors relating to biodiversity, soil quality, hydrography, hydrogeology, landscape and land use will be addressed.

2 years (2012-2014)

• If the first phase results prove encouraging, Phase Two will be dedicated to investigating technical feasibility, which could include seismic investigations or the drilling at least one vertical well to confirm the existence of shale gas. 
• Further societal and environmental investigations conducted by expert outside consultants, will determine, in collaboration with the Danish authorities, where exploratory wells should be located so as to cause the least possible environmental impact.

2 years (until 5 June 2016)

• Horizontal drillings and production tests. If the second phase results are promising, Phase Three will be devoted to investigating the economic feasibility of development, including horizontal drilling and production testing of 1 to 3 wells to gather technical and economic information on production rates and costs. Production tests imply the use of the hydraulic fracturing ("fracking") technique.
